Here is an example of a listening map which I would present to my kindergaren class during a lesson on high and low (pitches). This sort of aid could also be used in conjunction with the musical teaching strategy of Kodaly, in which students learn from inner hearing and “movable do” derived from children’s play/curiosity and development.

I think this is a great way for children to learn about music and it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into this assignment. I wish my music teach would have used a graphic like this to teach me music.

Very interesting! I hadn’t heard of listening maps. I will have to see how they are being used….
